On 25 November 2022, Antonella Sciarrone Alibrandif was nominated Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Culture and Education.
She is a Professor of Economic Law in the Faculty of Banking, Financial and Insurance Sciences at the Università Cattolica.
She has held various posts past and present: vicarious pro-rector of the Università Cattolica; president of the Italian Association of Professors of Economic Law (ADDE); member of the Academic Board of the European Banking Institute (EBI); member of the Expert Group ROFIEG (Expert Group on Regulatory Obstacles to Financial Innovation) set up in 2018 by the European Commission at DG Fisma and national rapporteur on FinTech issues; member of the Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) of the Holy See; senior expert of the Finance and Humanity Village in the context of The Economy of Francesco; consultant of the Dicastery for Integral Human Development to address socio-economic and cultural challenges related to the pandemic; member of the Board of Directors of UCID Milan (since 2020) and of the Union of Italian Catholic Jurists.
Her scientific publications cover banking and financial market laws, social inclusion and regulation of innovation.
