Held every 3 years, the IFCU General Assembly is a not-to-be-missed event where participants listen to one another, share experiences and reflect on university issues.

This true summit of Catholic higher education brings together hundreds of Catholic university leaders around a unifying theme in line with our mission and values.

The central theme of this 28th edition is “Catholic Universities as choreographers of knowledge”. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the International Federation of Catholic Universities“, will have a very special flavour, as it will bring to a close the centenary celebrations of the Federation (1924-2024) launched last January in Rome at the Conference  “The University and the Church: the future of the Catholic University”.

With this in mind, the IFCU team travelled to Guadalajara for a 3-day visit which provided an opportunity to work closely with the UNIVA team on a number of organizational aspects, and to appreciate the facilities offered by the university campus.

For 5 days from July 28 to August 1, 2025, the program will alternate between inspiring conferences with high-level speakers, round tables and participative workshops on themes such as academic diplomacy, the social impact of the Catholic university, the experience of culture and faith. There will also be plenty of time for socializing and discovering the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Guadalajara region.
