On March 19th, to mark the commencement of the Spring Semester of 2024, a special mass was held in the Concert Hall, attended by a vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff.
Father Won Jong-chul, the Chancellor, in his homily, emphasized the importance of embracing the journeys life presents, stating, “We should not avoid the paths laid out for us but rather welcome them with open arms. It is through accepting and walking our paths that we encounter the true joys and blessings of life.” He motivated students to seek and cherish the joy and hope found within the realms of a Catholic University.
Following the speech, there was a launching ceremony for the team of the International Volunteer Program in July 2024. Additionally, a scholarship ceremony for 100 students walking the Camino de Santiago every July was held.
Won-hyo Lee, a student from the Department of Computer and Information Engineering, Class of 2024, shared, “I hadn’t fully realized that I had enrolled in the University, but attending the commencement mass made me feel a sense of belonging. I want to create many good memories in my first semester here.”
