The University of St. La Salle (USLS) strengthened its international partnerships with Catholic universities in South Korea to advance English language learning, student mobility, and global academic collaboration.
A USLS delegation led by University President Br. Joaquin Severino S. Martinez FSC, D.Min., and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Dr. Annabelle Balor conducted institutional visits in South Korea from September 22 to 25, 2025.

During the visit, the delegation met with Daegu Catholic University, Silla University, and Busan Catholic University to present USLS’s English as a Second Language (ESL) Program under the Language Learning Program (LLP) of the Continuing Education Program.
Discussions focused on potential collaborations in student exchange, faculty development, and academic research, as well as opportunities for Korean students to pursue short-term English language immersion at USLS in Bacolod City.

The visit to Silla University on September 24 highlighted USLS’s ESL program and its interactive and immersive approach to language instruction for international learners.
Meetings with Daegu Catholic University and Busan Catholic University reinforced shared priorities in holistic education, intercultural understanding, and strengthening Catholic academic networks in Asia.

These engagements opened opportunities for joint academic initiatives and cultural exchanges.
The partnership efforts form part of USLS’s broader internationalization agenda and its commitment to expanding Lasallian educational presence and collaboration across the region.
