On October 9, 2025, the day SPU Manila celebrated Teachers’ Day, the university officially launched the St. Paul Manila Scholarship Program for incoming students of Academic Year 2026–2027 who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, major in Science or Mathematics.

The St. Paul Manila Scholarship Program provides financial assistance of up to ₱50,000.00 per semester, or ₱100,000.00 per year, covering tuition and academic-related expenses from first year until graduation.

This program is the school’s concrete response to a growing national concern. The EDCOM 2 report has revealed what we all see in our classrooms—that many learners struggle with math and science, and that too many teachers are asked to teach subjects outside their specialization. This affects not only performance but the very confidence of our students and teachers alike.

This year, SPU Manila has also forged a meaningful partnership with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and REX Education through the PEAC–REX Edukampyon Program, which grants an additional ₱40,000.00 annual allowance to our scholars. SPU Manila expresses heartfelt gratitude to PEAC and REX Education for their trust and generosity in the journey of empowering future educators.
