From January 20–25, 2025, Parahyangan Catholic University proudly hosted the 10th International Student Conference (ISC), a flagship event that brought together youth leaders from across the globe to explore “The Future of Education.” This year’s milestone edition expanded its reach across two major cities, Bandung and Jakarta, signifying a decade of fostering critical dialogue and global citizenship.

ISC 2025 offered an enriching five-day journey filled with three keynote lectures, six thematic workshops, a site visit, and two cultural experiences. The conference focused on three key sub-themes: inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability in education, providing a structured framework for participants to analyze pressing regional and global educational challenges.

This year, ISC had the distinct honor of welcoming H.E. Ar. Siti Rozaimeriyanty Dato Haji Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), as one of its keynote speakers. Her Excellency’s presence also marked a significant partnership between ISC and AIPA for the 4th Model AIPA, the conference’s culminating simulation project.

In Model AIPA, students stepped into the roles of ASEAN delegates to debate and formulate resolutions addressing educational challenges across the region. Drawing from insights gained throughout the conference, this simulation encouraged participants to apply their learning to real-world policymaking, showcasing their skills in collaboration, negotiation, and critical thinking.

The conference concluded with a vibrant cultural adventure at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah in Jakarta. Through an “Amazing Race”-style challenge, students explored the park’s rich cultural landmarks, celebrating Indonesia’s heritage while strengthening bonds forged during the event.

As ISC 2025 celebrated its 10th anniversary, the event reaffirmed its mission to elevate youth voices and strengthen the bridge between education and policymaking. With global partnerships and student-driven solutions at its core, ISC continues to shape the future, one empowered participant at a time.
