The Philippine Professional Regulation Commission administered the Physician Licensure Examination in October and December 2021. Based on the results, San Beda University ranked 7th among the top performing schools in the country. With a passing rate of 84.15% for first time takers, the University’s College of Medicine registered an over-all passing rate of 82.14%. The national passing rate was pegged by the Commission at 72.85%.

The luminary spot of the University’s College of Medicine, ranking 7th among the top performing medical schools in the Philippines, is not only an affirmation of the excellent medical education it provides to students. It is also a testimony to the exemplary demonstration of the Bedazzling brilliance of its administrators, faculty, and staff headed by Dr. Fernandino Jose A. Fontanilla, as Dean.

The Physician Licensure Examination is under the Health and Allied Professions, one of the four regulated professions clusters. The other three clusters are Technology Professions, Business, Education and Economic Professions and Engineering Professions.
