De La Salle Lipa’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication program continues to shine in the Philippine creative industries, with Lampara Productions, a team of AB Communications alumni comprising of Nick Arman Abella, Denielle Camille Casalla, Marjorie Delos Reyes, Josell Espiñ, and Gerard Martin Silang, securing third place in the Screenwriting Category of the esteemed Young Creatives Challenge (YC2) organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines. This triumph, showcased on March 21, 2024 in Taguig City, underscores the program’s commitment to nurturing exceptional talent and fostering innovation.

The Young Creatives Challenge recognizes and showcases creative talents in the fields of Songwriting, Screenwriting, Playwriting, Graphic Novel, Animation, and Game Development.  By challenging its students to participate and compete, La Salle Lipa opens up to offer a platform for students to showcase their skills and gain recognition on a national scale.  The students not only demonstrate their creativity but also embrace real-world challenges, preparing them for successful careers in the global creative industry.

It is noteworthy that A5 Productions of La Salle Lipa AB Comm previously clinched two top awards with their thesis documentary “Sa Aplaya, Doon, San Malayo” at the “DokyuBata: Isang Pagdiriwang ng Dokumentaryong Pantelebisyon Para sa Batang Pilipino” event held by the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) in November 2023. Over the years, the AB Comm alumni of La Salle Lipa have consistently garnered prestigious national and international recognition, including awards from Gawad CCP para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival, Gawad Urian Awards, PELIKULTURAL: The Calabarzon Film Festival, Gawad Sining Film Festival, Maginhawa Film Festival, Active Vista Film Festival, Singkwento Film Festival, and Metro Manila Film Festival. Numerous La Salle Lipa alumni have also contributed to the creative force behind some Netflix films, making La Salle Lipa the Best Film School in Calabarzon. These achievements serve as a testament to the quality and relevance of education at the institution.
